The ABC/Dot Albums (1975-1979)

Barbara left Columbia in 1974 because she felt that the label was not working hard enough to promote her music. She went 18 months without releasing an album during this time. In 1975, though, she signed with ABC/Dot records. She also found a new producer, Tom Collins. Barbara's music changed dramatically when she teamed with Collins. She adopted a more polished, pop-country sound, as well as a more polished image.
