The Capitol Albums (1987-1992)

Barbara left MCA Records in 1986 to join EMI-America Records. In retrospect, this move was ill-timed. During Barbara's tenure with Capitol, her albums were released on four labels -- EMI-America, Capitol, Capitol Nashville and Liberty. Also, a new singer named Garth Brooks joined Capitol in 1989. Guess who got all the label's support! Barbara did have some hit records on Capitol, though. Barbara released seven albums on Capitol, including two that were compilations.
