The
Direct Albums (1994)
Barbara's contract
with Capitol ended in 1992, leaving her without a
label. She was the first (and maybe only) artist
to record on Direct Records, a label in New York.
The plan was for Barbara to release two albums on
Direct. First, these album would be sold on
television, then in stores. They never made it
into the stores. Then, in 1997, the Razor &
Tie label picked up one of Barbara's Direct
albums that was sold in record stores.
